During this task we had to choose a music video to Annalise. We had to focus on what genre the video was, the narrative of the video and what it represented. By doing this it will help me when creating a music video for my coursework.

Opie Tutorial

In this task we had to create an opie of ourselves. We were given a tutorial on how to use Photoshop to create an Opie. During this task i gained skills in using Photoshop which will help me in later tasks. I was not confident using Photoshop when i started the task, however after completing the task I feel more confident using the program. During this task i have managed to use the lasso tool to draw around my features, i have learned how to use layers effectively. This will all contribute to my overall knowledge of the program making me more confident using Photoshop.        

Purpose of a music video

In my opinion the purpose of a music video is to increase the revenue stream of a artist. A music video does this as it creates a star image of the artist. The meaning and genre of the song is often portrayed through the music video. There is often a strong relationship between the lyrics and action that is occurring.
